Ask Claude about your bookkeeping

With the Tilit connector, Claude can read your bookkeeping data in Tilit and answer your questions based on it. The connection is read-only: Claude cannot create, change or delete anything in Tilit.

What Claude can look up

  • Income statement and balance sheet for a chosen period, down to account level
  • Ledger entries and their bookkeeping materials, such as receipts, purchase and sales invoices, and bank statements
  • Open sales invoices and their aging
  • Bank account balances on a chosen date
  • VAT returns, EC sales lists, employer separate reports, tax periods and letters from the Finnish Tax Administration
  • Payroll summaries by salary period
  • Project profitability and sales metrics
  • Files and source documents stored in Tilit
  • Company details and fiscal years

Example questions

  • “How have our revenue and profit developed this year compared with last year?”
  • “Which sales invoices are more than 30 days overdue?”
  • “How much VAT did we report for the last three tax periods?”
  • “Find the receipt for our January software subscription.”

Who can use it

You need a Tilit account with access to at least one company where you can use the AI assistant. The Claude connection is enabled per company. To enable it, contact info@tilit.ai.

Getting started

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and search for Tilit.
  2. Select Connect. The Tilit sign-in page opens.
  3. Sign in with your Tilit account and approve the connection.
  4. Start a new conversation and ask about your bookkeeping.

You can also add Tilit as a custom connector with the URL https://api.tilit.ai/mcp.

Security and access

  • Claude cannot create, change or delete data in Tilit.
  • You sign in with your own Tilit account on Tilit's own page. Claude sees only the companies and data you have access to in Tilit and where the Claude connection is enabled.
  • Never type your Tilit password or verification code into a conversation with Claude.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time under Connectors in Claude's settings. This stops new access but does not delete information already shared with Claude. Its processing is subject to Anthropic's terms, privacy policies and your account settings.
